WHITE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES

WHITE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. White Chocolate

1 Tbsp. Shortening

25 Large Strawberries

          (with stems & leaves)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Wipe the Strawberries with a damp cloth; refrigerate for at least one  hour.
  • Heat the White Chocolate and the Shortening in a double boiler over  hot water until smooth, stirring frequently.  Keep warm.
  • Alternatively, heat in the Microwave, 1 minute at a time; stir after each minute.  This should take no more than 1 – 2 minutes.
  • Line a tray or jelly roll pan with waxed paper.
  • Dip each Strawberry into the melted White Chocolate to cover as much of the Berry as possible.  Place on a lined tray or in paper candy cups.  Chill for 10 minutes.
