INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup unsalted Butter
1/2 cup softened Cream Cheese
1 cup Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
1 Egg White
Colored Sugars
DIRECTIONS:
Measure the Flour in dry measuring cups.
Measure the Salt and Baking Powder; combine with the Flour in a small mixing bowl; set aside.
Cream the Butter and Cream Cheese together with the Sugar, Egg and Vanilla.
Add the Flour mixture to the creamed mixture; blend well.
Wrap the Dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour.
Roll 1/2 the Dough 1/4” thick; cut the dough with a Cookie Cutters which have been dipped in flour or sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets about 1” apart.
Brush each Cookie with Egg White, then sprinkle with colored Sugar.
Bake 10-15 minutes in an oven that has been preheated to 400 degrees.
Remove from oven and use a spatula to carefully remove the cookies to a cooling rack.
YIELD: apprx. 2 dozen Cookies
